I was orginially due on December 27th but our little girl had a completely different timeline. She decided to make her entrance on December 6th, 2005, exactly 4 days between Frank and my birthday. It was a great big surprise to all of us. I didn't know exactly what was happening. I remember waking up and telling Frank, "Frank, I think I pee-ed the bed." Frank, the great man that he is, got us up and cleaned the bed and made up the bed in the spare room for us. After sitting down on the bed in the spare room for a minute, I knew it was time to go to the hospital. My water had broke around 5 a.m. I didn't know what it was because it did not happen like this with Jackson. Anyway, after a whole day of a pretty-much controlled labor, Gabriela Zofi was born on December 6, 2005 at Reynolds Army Medical Center at 4:01 p.m., weighing in at 7 pounds, 6 ounces and a nice length of 19 inches. She was exactly 3 weeks early on this day but healthy and in great condition! After she was born, the doctor played the song, "Lullaby" by Celine Dion throughout the hospital. I remember hearing it as they rolled me from the OR into my room.
Welcome to our world Gabi!
