Our Family Reunion Weekend

The Portillo family went on a vacation this past weekend to my family reunion in New Jersey. And what a trip it was! We left on Saturday afternoon and of course, all of the kids were dressed and ready to go! We all love a long car trip because the DVD player in the back keeps them entertained for hours!
Featured here is Vivi (5 1/2 years), Jack (14 1/2 years) holding Leah (8 1/2 months), and Gabi (2 1/2 years).

As always, we went to my uncle and aunt's home. They own a horse boarding business which always offers a great environment to have a picnic and family gathering. This is their home which as usual, is beautiful! On this particular weekend, the weather was VERY strange! It was actually COLD! This is the first year that NO ONE, and I mean, no one even got close to the pool. We all had goose-bumps and sweaters (or coats) to keep warm. Burrrrrrr

Gabi and Vivi relax before lunch.

Buba holds Leah in an act of brotherly love and affection.

Who can help but take a picture of Leah sporting her new Old Navy dress?
Doesn't she look adorable? I think so but I'm alittle bias! :-)

While we visited the farm, Tony (Judy's husband) had to feed the animals and asked if Jack and Michael would like to help. Of course, Jack was all up for driving! They ahd a great time out there making sure that the horses had their meal too.

~Uncle Russ has a colt right now and let us go and take a peek at him. Buba just hangs around while we all check him out.

Here is the baby horse! Isn't he cute?

~After the reunion, we decided to go and pay a visit to my neice, Brittany. She is now 20 and so beautiful. I remember the day that this little girl was born and now she is 20! URGH, do I feel old! Anyway, she is so beautiful and looks so happy! It was WONDERFUL to see her!

~And a dear friend from high school (when I attended in New Jersey) came to the same place to visit us as well. What a blessing it was to see her! I sure wish we had more time to talk but it was good to spend the short time, nonetheless! Thanks for coming out Stacy!

There are a few people that come to our family reunion that aren't in the best health so it is so important to me to be able to go to our reunions each year. I'm worried that should anything happen to them, we may not have the reunions much long which makes me really sad. So, this is why I am sharing this with you. I love my family, no matter how close they are, so it is great to be able to spend this short time with them! Hope you like the pictures!
