We've been busy as usual! And then there is ........

We start this week's journey with .... yup, you guessed it, a BLACK EYE! On October 19th, Gabi was walking out of our bedroom and trying to watch the television instead of where in the world she was walking. She ran into the door knob giving her a huge reason to SCREAM at the top of her lungs! After about 5 minutes of trying to comfort her, I realized that she had a purple spot under her eye. Well, the next day it was a shiner! You go girl! Thank God it didn't hit her eyeball. I would have never been able to tell!

On October 24th, Gabriela's gym school had a Halloween Party and Pumpkin Decorating Contest that we decided to take Gabi and Leah too. Gabi really does enjoy going to gym class so what better way to go and enjoy it than with a Halloween theme!

We had been given lots of things over the past few years and in one of the bags that we got for Gabi, there was this cute little angel dress. There were no accessories with it but the dress was so cute! I was lent wings from my great neighbor and I made a halo for her out of pipe cleaners. Doesn't she look adorable? She is an angel, even if she has so much energy all the time!

The decorating contest (which I thought should have been something that the KIDS should have done) was really cool. There were some really great pumpkins there and unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures of the other ones. I really believed that this contest should have been done by the kids. Anyway, we were supposed to only use things to put on our pumpkins and NOT to carve them. Gabi told me she wanted to make a clown so I let her. I helped her pin everything on the pumpkin and I helped her make the hat and mouth. She glued on the eyes and made the curly hair all by herself. She was so proud of her pumpkin. I was proud of her for doing such a great job! You are such a smart girl Gabi! Great job baby!

My wonderful neighbor also lent us a Blue's Clues costume that she made! (You are awesome girl!) When we first borrowed it, Gabi fit in it perfectly but after waiting about a month before having to wear it, it sort of ....... shrunk! Well, really Gabi got tall all of a sudden. She didn't mind wearing it anyway. She loves Blue and really did look so cute in it!

And she was so proud that she had a tail now!

Gabi had a BLAST at gym school on the night of the party too! They did all of their regular things but with a twist and they were able to do what they wanted. There was no routine that they had to follow, which is good because Gabi always has a hard time doing that anyway.

Leah was outside for a long while and just green with envy to be in the room with big sister. She LOVES watching Gabi and you can tell that she really would rather be in there doing the same thing! (Later she got her wish. Daddy brought her in to do a few things too!)

And Gabi LOVES the bars! She loves to hang upside down and swing like a monkey! She goes round in circles and all! She is a monkey!

This morning, I thought that I would show you all how much Leah has grown. She is starting to and trying really hard to walk. She will push her little walker thinggy all over the house and walk so quickly. She is still alittle afraid to walk without it so she isn't actually walking but I know that it won't be long! She is so proud of herself for doing so well. Can you tell?

And then this morning,

we

woke

up

to

THIS!!!!!!!!!

It started snowing on Tuesday afternoon around 1 p.m. It didn't stop until about an hour ago (Wednesday at 5 p.m.). We got about 10 inches of snow! IT IS ONLY OCTOBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

URGH I don't mind the snow and love being able to go and play in it but OH MY GOSH! I just didn't expect that we would have this much snow already! It really hit the North Country by surprise. But thank God they are prepared for days like this. The kids didn't have school though so of course, we played!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even Daddy got to go play in it before heading off to work!

And I guess the snow is like pumpkins. Leah doesn't like the snow either. Hummmm Wonder why? Buba even tried to show her that snow was alright. She didn't want any part of it. Maybe next year ........ oh, or later in November. URGH

Gabi and I did go out and build a snowman which was a lot of fun! Gabi had a good time. Before that, she was alittle bit scared to walk out in the snow because she was afraid she would fall. With alittle bit of safety and Mommy there by her side, she got used to it and was having a blast. Even she and Buba built another snowman!

ON ANOTHER NOTE: I am asking that everyone who reads this say a prayer for a dear friend of mine. My friend JoAnn lost her husband this morning. Her husband had a massive heart attack about 2 days ago and was in a coma. He passed away today after spending a quiet hour with JoAnn. Please say a prayer for his family and for her comfort during this difficult time. John was such a wonderful person, full of love and life. He will be truly missed!
